Doctor Pizza is a genre-blending instrumental band that grew out of a failed prog rock group and an experienced guitarist’s flirtation with the low end. Originally part of a trio, Steve and Elliott started to jam separately as a two-pice. This gave Steve a space to develop his bass playing style, which is somewhere between traditional bass playing and rhythm guitar. Over years, the duo’s rhythmic connection grew tighter and improvised jams developed into songs.
